My Story

What I love about family photography is capturing the enduring connection between family members. A beautiful family portrait is a treasure that will last a lifetime as it is about being able to see the emotion that exists between loved ones. It is important for us to record these connections and exist in pictures for our families. For individual portraits, I love capturing images that allow a person’s true personality to shine though. It will come as no surprise that I have always loved taking pictures, but it was not until recently that I decided to make it a career.

 

I spent several years putting my university degree from the University of Guelph to use as an instructor at an adult education centre where I taught such subjects as math, English, and science. In this position, I had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of people from around the world and helped them get ready to go back to school in order to change careers. This inspired me to do the same thing when the opportunity presented itself, and I am thankful for the creative outlet that my new career offers me. 

 

I enjoy working with families and it is important to me that clients have a wonderful experience throughout the process from the initial consultation, to the portrait session, to the delivery of their final artwork. I strive to give each client the personal touch of working creatively towards realizing both of our visions. I personally process all my final images so that I can ensure that the end result meets the highest of standards. The artwork is printed in professional labs to be of heirloom quality.
